Your journey begins in Tanzania where you head to Lake Manyara
National park for a gam drive and the chance to take in the
flamingos that flock to this spectacular lake. From here you will
head to the "Cradle of Mankind", the Ngorongo Crater - a caldera
that is home to some 30,000 animals. It is an experience becomes
even even more special as you will be staying in Highlands
Ngorongoro, a private luxury tented camp is set high on the slopes
of the Olmoti Volcano with views of the Gol Mountains in the North
and Empakaai Crater in the East. After two nights you will fly to
the Serengeti itself - the quintessential African experience.
This time you will stay at One Nature Nyaruswiga, an ultra-luxurious safari camp, perfectly situated at the heart of Central Serengeti, surrounded by breath-taking views of endless plains and embraced by the majestic Nyaruswiga Hills. Your drive-cum-guide will take you at on game drives (with pinci lunches of you choose) as you take in the Big Five. You can opt for a romantic dawn balloon ride (supplement applies).
Now the beaches beckon and from here you fly down to Dar Es Salaam to board Tradewind's Golden Horizon, which was made for sailing the Indian Ocean and will follow the winds and currents as much as possible as it makes it's way from Tanzania to the Seychelles. With 6,300 sq metres of billowing sails it offers sustainable travel on 70 per cent of its voyages and stylish, ocean view cabins for a maximum of 272 guests.

Your first stop is the 'spice island' of Zanzibar. Known for its wide sandy beaches and UNESCO-listed capital, Stone Town, a historic trade centre, you'll spend a day exploring. Then, after three idyllic days at sea, making full use of all the Golden Horizon has to offer, you'll arrive in the picture-perfect Seychelles archipelago.
Some say these 115 idyllic coral islands sprinkled across the Indian Ocean are the most beautiful in the world. Lying around 1,100 miles from the Tanzanian coast, they're wilder and less glossy than the Maldives, with rare wildlife, surreal rock formations and verdant interior forests, as well as honeymoon-worthy sweeps of white sand.
You'll visit four of the best islands including Astove, with its large inner lagoon, migratory waders and sheer drop-offs, Alphonse, a pristine private island where the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have holidayed, and Desroches which offers great snorkelling and diving.
Your final port of call will be Victoria on Mahé, largest of the islands and capital of the Seychelles, known for its colourful covered market. Days1-2Fly to Lake Manyara, TanzaniaLake Manyara, Tanzania
You will fly overnight to Kilimanjaro airport before a short hop on charter flight to Lake Manyara. Here you will be met by your driver guide who will take you to Lake Manyara National park for a short game drive (if time permitting). As you approach Lake Manyara National Park, your first view is spectacular. Lake Manyara National Park has a wide variety of habitats attracting a host of different animals: In the pools along the lakeshore, hippos wallow and in the acacia woodland lions rest in the trees. The birdlife is fascinating, with pelicans, storks, geese, herons and cormorants sharing the water with migrant flamingoes that turn the crystalline edges of the lake a bright pink. Thereafter, you will be transferred to Lake Manyara Serena for hot lunch, then proceed to The Highlands Ngorongoro for dinner and overnight.
The eight tented camp is set high on the slopes of the Olmoti Volcano with views of the Gol Mountains in the North and Empakaai Crater in the East. The Highlands offers a comfortable and stylish high-altitude retreat in dome shaped tents, the shape of which was inspired by the Maasai bomas dotting the surrounding highlands. The eight large tents have en-suite bathrooms with flush toilets and plumbed showers. Snug beds and a wood burning stove will keep guests warm on even the coldest nights. The main area offers both sunrise views from the dining area, as well as sunset views from the bar/ lounge and a large inside fire place to ensure the safari feeling of a camp fire even when the temperature outside is too cold to sit out.
Day3Ngorongoro Crater, TanzaniaNgorongoro Crater, Tanzania
After breakfast, depart for a full day in the crater, with picnic lunches.
The Ngorongoro Conservation Area covers 2286 square kilometres (892 square miles) and encompasses the volcanic area around the Ngorongoro Crater - including the still active volcano of Oldonyo Lengai and the famous Olduvai Gorge. Its centerpiece, the Ngorongoro Crater, is the largest unbroken caldera in the world and the first sight of it is breathtaking. The floor of the crater is only 100 square miles but is home to around 30,000 animals, with a high concentration of predators.
After spending most of the day in the crater, proceed to a visit of a local Maasai Village and learn their local lifestyle. Thereafter depart to your lodge for refresh followed by dinner.
Days4-5Serengeti, TanzaniaSerengeti National Park, Tanzania
Leave your camp and drive along the crater rim as proceed to Manyara Airstrip for your charter flight to Serengeti. Arrive at Seronera Airstrip, you are met by Akorn driver/ guide and proceed with game drive en route to One Nature Nyarusigwa Luxury Camp for hot lunch (optional for afternoon game drive / leisure at camp. Dinner and overnight at camp.

Spend the two days exploring the extensive plains of the Serengeti in search of the 'Big 5', accompanied by an experienced driver who also serves as your guide. If you would like to maximize your time game viewing you can take a picnic lunch out into the park and enjoy a meal out in the vast savannah before returning to your camp later in the day.
Optional excursion: Hot Air Balloon Ride
For the adventure of a lifetime we can offer the group the unique experience of a Balloon Safari. If you choose ballooning, plan to depart early in the morning to the launch site for the hot air balloons - you must depart early to enjoy the calm morning sky (and it doubles as a night safari as you spot nocturnal wildlife rarely seen). Your balloon pilot will guide the balloon low over the plains, providing you with the chance to see the different wildlife at their early morning activities: hippos returning to the water after wandering for food in the dark, elephants coming out for their morning feeding, lions returning from the hunt. If there is a special activity going on, the pilot will bring the balloon down close to the treetops for a better view. Skimming over the treetops, you will have a chance to see the game in action and up close. The flight lasts about an hour with ample opportunity for photography. After landing, there is a traditional champagne toast, followed by breakfast cooked on the balloon burners in the heart of the savannah.

After breakfast and check out, you will be transferred to Seronera airstrip to connect a charter flight to Dar es Salaam (a picnic box will be provided) upon arrival in Julias Nyerere International Airport you will be met and assisted to connect your onwards International flight.

Enjoy your first full day relaxing onboard the magnificent Golden Horizon as she sails towards Zanzibar.

The cruise port is just a 10-minute walk from the 'spice island's' capital Stone Town. Explore this colonial city, with its narrow alleys and winding lanes and visit the 19th-century House of Wonders, a former Sultan's palace.
Day9Astove Island, SeychellesAstove Island, Seychelles, Seychelles
Your first port of call is this stunning island in the remote outer Seychelles. Astove boasts picture-perfect palm-fringed beaches and a dramatic interior with limestone rock and sand dunes rising up against the horizon. The Astove 'wall' is one of the best drop off snorkelling and dive sites in the world, home to colourful tropical fish and corals as well as countless aquatic seabirds and over 150 giant Aldabra tortoises.

You'll have three full days to wind down as you cross the Indian Ocean towards the paradise islands of the Seychelles. Book in for a spa treatment or unwind in the sauna and hamman, learn how to scuba dive or find a quiet spot in the stylish library to read.

Enjoy sailing around the jewel-like Seychelles, with surprise stops to enjoy the many water-sports available directly from the Golden Horizon.

Guests can unwind in our on-board spa which boasts a Sauna, Hamman, Snow Room and Jacuzzi. The spa offers a range of treatments including massages, facials, wraps and scrubs. There is also beauty salon, which offers an assortment of treatments including manicures, pedicures and blow-dries and there is a well-stocked library and complimentary wifi.
There are three pools to choose from, plus a Marina from which you can enjoy a variety of watersports and diving.
Our destination speakers will provide guests with engaging insights, specifically related to the voyage and ports of call.The on-board cruise team offers a full programme of activities including wine tasting and cooking demonstrations.
