Visit a handful of the most beautiful Adriatic isles, as well as some iconic and historic coastal cities, including Dubrovnik and Split, on this luxury small-ship cruise
The Croatian coast has a glittering collection of islands and
the best way to explore them is on a luxury cruise on board
Tradewind's Golden Horizon. Newly built, this classical ship is the
world's largest square-rigged sailing vessel, combining traditional
style with exceptional levels of service and comfort.
Split, Croatia's lively port city, is the start point for this
cruise along the island-dotted coast of the Adriatic. Your first
stop is the Italianate city of Rovinj with its striking church
tower, and beautifully unspoilt Mali Lošinj, a hidden gem where the
pure air is reputed to have healing properties.
You'll spend a morning anchored off one of the Kornati Islands,
swimming or enjoying a range of watersports from the ship's marina.
Your next port of call is bustling Dubrovnik, with its iconic
defensive walls and forts and maze of cobbled and stepped
You'll then visit a handful of beautiful islands as you sail back
north to Split. Pine-scented Mjlet is the home of a national park
for pretty hiking trails and bewitching blue waters at Odysseus's
Cave, the spot where the eponymous hero was charmed by the nymph
Calypso. There's Vis, a sleepy island with jaw-dropping bays and
coves; and Brač, where you'll stop off in Bol to visit its famous
v-shaped beach, Zlatni Rat.
You can be as active as you like, with a choice of amazing
optional excursions - from snorkelling trips, amazing dives,
kayaking around hidden coves and stunning beaches, to
wine-tastings, parks and gardens, beach bars and coastal walks.
Golden Horizon will operate under sail whenever possible and
there's an onboard spa, pools, marina (complete with water sports),
gym, local delicacies, lectures and entertainment to enjoy.
