Join Dee Caffari at the Isle of Wight’s iconic sailing regatta on the world’s largest tall ship then voyage around Britain’s beautiful south coast including Jersey, Guernsey and the Scilly Isles

Cowes Week is the ultimate sailing event. A nautical celebration like no other, it's the oldest and largest annual sailing regatta in the World. Champion yachtsmen and weekend enthusiasts alike take to the water and race the demanding five-mile channel between England and the Isle of Wight in up to a thousand beautiful boats - and then flock to the shoreside pubs and bars with equal enthusiasm.

It's a spectacle not to be missed and on this very special 11-day voyage in August 2021, you'll sail the Solent and join this famous sporting event in a ship guaranteed to turn heads with its 6,300 sq metres of billowing sails. Added to this is the chance to meet and hear from one of Britain's greatest ever yachtswomen, Dee Caffari, who will join you on board in Cowes. She will give an exclusive talk and Q&A and join you for drinks as you take in this historic event.

Tradewind's Golden Horizon is the World's largest square-rigged sailing vessel. A near replica of a 1913-built ocean-faring ship, the France II, she retains the charm and romance of a classical vessel yet is made for the future. Powered by the prevailing winds for at least 70 per cent of the year she has sustainability at her heart as well as the outstanding food, cabins and service levels expected of a five-star luxury cruise.

You'll be moored in Cowes for two-nights and enjoy plenty of world-class sailing action, have the opportunity to take an exhilarating high-speed RIB ride and see the famous 'Final Friday' fireworks from the spacious decks of the Golden Horizon. You'll also have time for afternoon tea in the Georgian splendour of Northwood House and a visit to Farringford, home of Victorian poet, Lord Tennyson.

The Golden Horizon will then set sail for Dartmouth, with its wild moorlands and river valleys, where the literary theme continues at Agatha Christie's holiday home, Greenway House, which inspired some of her best-known books.

In Falmouth, wander around the harbour's quaint galleries and quirky shops or visit the Eden Project's futuristic giant geo-domes. Tintagel and Land's End are also within reach. Your next port of call is the Scilly Isles, where pristine white-sand beaches are bathed in sunshine at this time of year.

Your final stops are in the Channel Islands where the Golden Horizon will drop anchor in both St Peter Port, Guernsey, and St Helier, Jersey, for wildlife walks and wartime heritage respectively. This promises to be a unique UK voyage at the height of summer encompassing one the the World's most incredible sailing events.
